Uks Report On the Road to Equality Changing Media Narratives

Media Monitoring Report (1st-30th April)
Recently, Uks has launched a unique report titled “On the Road to Gender Equality: Changing media narratives”. This report marks the culmination of an extensive project by Uks that sought to improve the status of Pakistani women in and through the media. The report is based on the outcomes of activities undertaken during this project including on-desk consultations with print and electronic media, media monitoring and content analysis. It provides readers an overview of women’s portrayal and representation in the media as observed by media monitoring; records journalists’ opinion regarding women’s portrayal and participation in media; highlights the good practices and positive role models in media; and identifies solutions to the problems.
