Dear Members,
The 58th session of the Commission on the Status of Women's (CSW)
negotiations are in full swing and the final negotiated outcome document
will be ready by the end of the week. We are writing to you today because
we need your help in this final push to ensure that women's rights are
included in CSW 58's outcome document!
AWID has been hearing concerns about the state
of the current draft of the negotiated outcomes from women's rights
leaders and advocates lobbying at the UN. Unfortunately the current
document faces challenges regarding the full incorporation of sexual and
reproductive health rights, and there are questions regarding
governments' full commitment to funding women's rights and gender
justice. In addition to these concerns, we continue to urge CSW 58 to
address the need to transform the unsustainable economic model and to
incorporate women's rights as an integral component of development.
It is of utmost importance for feminist
movements around the world to call on CSW 58 to address these issues and implement
our requests. Please join our online media and call on the CSW 58 to
ensure women's rights are at the heart of development! Here are some
suggested messages that you can use on online media:

rights are human rights and must be central to #Post2015 #CSW58

agenda that is grounded in human rights for ALL!
