The World Health Organization (WHO) has just released an Advisory Note providing guidance on the procurement of CycleBeads®. Currently CycleBeads are available worldwide for direct purchase through their manufacturer, Cycle Technologies. Since 2009, USAID-funded organizations have been able to order CycleBeads through the DELIVER Project. Now non-USAID entities like donors, governments, and other organizations wishing to order CycleBeads for their programs can find the evidence-based information they need to ensure high-quality procurement of this reproductive health product.

CycleBeads is a visual
tool that helps women use a fertility-awareness-based method known as the
Standard Days Method, as an effective natural family planning method. This
advisory note has been prepared to explain the purpose of CycleBeads and the
procedure that should be followed to procure them in accordance with a
specification and quality-assurance assessment.
